On site volunteer opportunities at Lowcountry Orphan Relief twice a month

Every month collect recyclable materials for The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, can tabs and travel size toiletries for the Ronald Mcdonald House, and gently used children’s clothing, books, and stuffed animals for ages 1-18 years for Lowcountry Orphan Relief.

Guest Speaker: the Rev. Anthony Thompson

Philanthropy Focus: our annual “Aunt Flo Memorial Donations” this event is a feminine hygiene collection drive to supply CCSD school nurses with much needed Feminine Hygiene products.

February

Guest Speaker: Caroline Albrecht from Roots and Shoots to present “Native Plants of Charleston”.

March

Annual Card/Game Party Fundraiser to benefit our Scholarship fund. Last year 4 high school senior girls were awarded $1500.00 each!

May

Scholarship Awards Banquet honoring the high school ladies who will receive our scholarships this year.

Event Spotlight

We prepared 150 valentine bags filled with cards and goodies for the residents of White Oak Manor Assisted Living. Students from Mary Ford and from Ashley Ridge High School contributed some of the cards!

Past Events

The Woman’s Club of Charleston is “Stocking Up for Christmas” for Lowcountry Orphan Relief.

The ladies provided 599 articles of clothing, 47 toiletry items and 27 stuffed animals. Through the generosity of these ladies, 53 “stockings” were fulfilled!

Members of the Woman’s Club of Charleston served lunch and dined with the families of Mary Ford Early Learning and Family Center, a title one school located in North Charleston, South Carolina. A fun time was had by all!

We delivered 16 “Birthday Boxes” to Mary Ford Early Learning Center!
